ARCHITECTURE
Commercial – B+A are associated with many prestigious buildings in Belfast, involving new-build, remodelling, updating and restoration. Examples are River House, Mark Royal House, Sinclair House and Metropole House. New build offices include 42 Dublin Road, whilst interior design work included a four storey fitout for Mills Selig Solicitors.
Retail – Working for both national and independent retailers providing solutions to suit budget and programme. Often works are managed on a phased basis to enable trading to continue throughout the works period.
Industrial – B+A have developed long term relationships with a number of international, national and local manufacturers and distributors. Client types include veterinary pharmaceuticals, electronics, cold storage and food distribution. Solutions are always developed in close collaboration with the client organisation, providing functional and economic solutions, whilst always ensuring that production can continue uninterrupted. Specialisms include Clean room facilities, cold storage and goods handling. B+A also serve landlords, repairing and preparing properties for lease.
Social – Projects include supported living / nursing homes, ambulance and training facilities, school facilities, and community halls. Where necessary assistance and cooperation is given in the seeking of grant assistance.
Ecclesiastical – Serving a wide range of denominations and creeds, B+A always seek to work closely and cooperatively with the client to achieve functional, economic and where appropriate, inspirational solutions. Such projects often involve a substantial lead-in, including the preparation of options and presentations to congregations to generate and sustain support for the proposals.
Residential – Works include apartment development, private new-build and extension. HMO compliance. Emphasis is always on the client’s needs and aspirations, finding thoughtful and delightful solutions whilst working within budget.
Conservation – Projects have included the restoration of the Art Deco Sinclair House in Belfast and also the reinstatement of fire damaged Victorian and Georgian buildings, as well as respectful extension and refurbishment.
CDM COORDINATION
We have a qualified CDM coordinator on the staff, enabling Blamphin + Associates to provide a service which ensures clients can fulfil their duties under the Construction (Design and Management) regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007. All technical staff are either CSR card or Construction Professionals Health & Safety card holders.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Project management is an integral part of our full architectural service, however we can provide project management as an independent service, tailored to suit our client’s requirements.
Paul Blamphin holds a RSUA Diploma in Project Management.
Our services are client focused and comprehensive, providing expert advice on how best to manage any construction project.
Services include: Preparation of project brief, Feasibility studies, Developer calculations, Programming and cost planning, Team building and professional appointments, scheduling and tender action, scheduling and tender action, Progress inspections / reports, Contract administration / advice, Landlord agent and Tenant agent.
SURVEYING
Blamphin + Associates provide a range of surveying & building surveying services on a wide range of property types including industrial, commercial, ecclesiastical and residential.
Services include: Measured site and building surveys, Building condition surveys, Defects investigation & troubleshooting, Facilities maintenance, Planned maintenance, Buildings repair, including listed buildings, Schedules of dilapidations, Insurance valuations, Capital revenue splits and Loss assessment.
